Golden Goose Coffee Shop & Cafe Receives Unanimous Support from Neighborhood Council [Video]
Steve DeAngelis, owner of the Golden Goose Market is proposing a new coffee shop and cafe, resulting in a request to change occupancy from real estate office/bank to include restaurant use with takeout. There will be 36 seats with hours from 6am to 8pm, the entryway will be on the Atlantic Avenue corner of the building with plans including outdoor seating, view the post for complete details.
“North End Has Been Adequately Served” Says Licensing Board in Rejecting Liquor Licenses
The Boston Licensing Board recently awarded five all-alcohol licenses to Boston establishments, none of which were in the North End. Members of the board said that the “North End has been adequately served” and that it already has a “saturation of licenses.” Read the post for more details.
Spaulding Delays Application to Transfer North End Nursing License
David Storto, President of the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network wrote to the North End community saying he would delay Spaulding’s application to transfer its nursing license. The delay allows more time for officials to find a replacement operator and potentially avoid closing the North End nursing home. Read the article.

The North End / Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) heard from Boston Public Works to see if the change in the trash collection schedule has led to an increase in recycling while reducing the amount of time that trash is stored on the streets. Work Begins on Reconstruction of Rachel Revere Park (at North Square)
