The North End Athletic Association’s North End Dodgers 13 to 15 year old team traveled to North Adams Mass this past weekend to participate in the 26th Annual LaFesta Baseball Exchange. The coaches – Ralph Martignetti and Domenic DiCenso, the players and many family members along with GM John Romano and his wife Patrica spent a beautiful weekend in the Berkshires. The Canales Family and the City of North Adams were awesome hosts as they have been for the past 26 years. Old friendships are renewed and new ones were created. Over 750 kids have participated over the years.
The players and coaches stayed at the historic Williams Inn in nearby Williamstown, the games were played at Joe Wolfe Field in North Adams and friendships were evident throughout the weekend.
The outcomes of the games were secondary as everyone on from both cities had a blast. As luck or maybe faith would have it, each team won one game! The crew from North Adams comes to the North End this coming weekend with games on Saturday at 5pm and Sunday at 10am at Puopolo Park.
