Strega, the North End restaurant on Hanover Street has seen massive success since it was opened by Nick Varano in 2003. Since that time, “the original location was looking dated and dowdy,” until the recent renovation that brought shimmering chandeliers, sumptuous leather banquettes and shiny wine displays along with paintings from North End artist Giovanni DeCunto, view the slideshow at, Zagat.

Developer proposes boutique hotel on North Washington St. parking lot
A proposal for a 15-story hotel at 88 North Washington Street was recently submitted to the BRA. The site is currently a 2,100-square-foot parking lot, which would be replaced with a 74-room hotel, complete with a lobby and cafe. Read the article at, Boston Business Journal.
