Massive Flooding on Prince and Salem Streets After Water Main Break

Neighbors woke up on Tuesday to massive flooding in the heart of Boston’s North End on Prince and Salem Streets. Resident reports indicate brown water inside with no pressure in some cases. On the scene, Gabor Korodi captures the incredible water flowing in front of Bova’s Bakery with these early morning photos.

7:00 am update:

Workers shut off the water after about 30 minutes. Boston Fire Department is checking basements. Significant damage on the sidewalks and roadways may keep the street closed for a while.
