While cruising Christopher Columbus Park at dusk earlier this summer, you may have noticed this quartet strumming away under the trees. This is one song they sang.
They met at BU as grad students and are now teachers, an attorney and a grocery store clerk. All had been trained musically since childhood. They rallied with the wild idea of forming a band last March for the sole purpose of trying out for NBC’s America’s Got Talent (AGT).
This week, they made the finals. From over 100,000 original auditions to six competing for a $1 million prize. This was their performance. AGT is a popularity contest. Anyone can vote online or by phone when they perform again. More on AGT here.
