Two loud booms were heard throughout downtown on the night of the one-year anniversary ceremonies of the Boston Marathon attacks as police detonated two unattended backpacks near the finish line. A suspect was taken into custody who allegedly said the backpack contained a rice cooker full of confetti. Police said the detonations were precautionary in nature. The incident occurred on Tuesday night about 9:00 pm causing the evacuation of the area including the Copley Green Line station. Articles, videos and photos in the stream.
