Coming off Tuesday’s election win, Boston Mayor-elect Marty Walsh visited City Hall on Thursday to meet with outgoing Mayor Tom Menino. After a private meeting, the two met the press and made statements encouraging a smooth transition. Walsh said he would announce his transition team on Friday, November 8th. The Walsh administration takes over on January 5, 2014. He also said he would be available to assist before January in negotiations with the Boston Police Patrolmen if the City Council rejects an arbitration award.
