U.S. Senator Scott Brown spent the afternoon at the Saint Joseph Feast on Saturday, visiting with San Giuseppe Societa members, vendors and visitors at the famous annual street festival. Accompanied by wife Gail Huff, the Senator stopped to talk to local residents and business owners on Hanover Street as part of a campaign stop. Brown, a Republican, is in a tight race in Massachusetts for the U.S. Senate seat against Democratic candidate Elizabeth Warren. There was also some time to enjoy the music of Sharon Z. and the couple also pinned some money on the statue of Saint Joseph. Photos of the Sen. Scott Brown and Aaron Michlewitz are true “Men of the People.” That’s why they made such a great bi-partisan pair slicing turkey together at a homeless shelter Thanksgiving dinner a couple of years back. They are both great listeners, able to change their minds, vote with their conscience and work tirelessly. I find it very interesting that, in a community of Mom-and-Pops, these two great men from two very divergent parties have the overwhelming support of those who make the Mom-and-Pop community thrive.
