Are you planning for the big New Year’s Eve midnight fireworks display in Boston Harbor? Christopher Columbus Park is usually a good spot for an upfront seat. Also, the first 275 to show up starting at 11pm at Rowes Wharf will get to go out on a free harbor boat ride to see the fireworks, courtesy of The Boston Harbor Association.
During the day, there will be festivities at the nearby Boston Harbor Islands Pavillion on the Greenway and there are usually ice sculptures at Faneuil Hall Marketplace and the New England Aquarium.
First Night has fewer sponsors than years in the past but the programming continues around the city.
