Celebrating Joanne Hayes-Rines Ten Years of Park Leadership [Photo Gallery]

The Friends of Christopher Columbus Park gathered at Tia’s on June 26th to celebrate ten years of park stewardship by FOCCP President Joanne Hayes-Rines. State Representative Aaron Michlewitz and State Senator Joe Boncore presented commendations from the State House to mark the achievements of what has been called the “best Friends group in Boston.”

“Through Joanne’s strong leadership, we have all benefited from the improvements at the park which is a jewel of the neighborhood,” said Rep. Michlewitz. Several park sponsors were on hand and the event culminated in a toast by former (and founding) FOCCP President Danny Nuzzo.
