North End Against Drugs, through the Raymond and Michelina Costa Scholarship Program, awarded $8,000 in scholarships this year to forty-four deserving students. The scholarships included nine $500 awards to students attending tuition based schools, thirty-one students attending public schools received a $100 gift card to help with supplies for the upcoming school year. Also, a first this year, the four students not selected to receive a $500 scholarship received a $100 gift card for supplies as well.
