Weekend Brief: Thinking Bigger, Blood Drive, Friday Film Series

1:00PM Blood Drive at the Nazzaro Center. The Nazzaro Center will be hosting a Blood Drive for the Red Cross from 1-6 pm in the community room. The Red Cross is in need of all blood types. Would you be so kind and help save someone who may be in need of your life saving blood type?

1:00PM Friday Film Series: Blacklisted. Join the North End Library at 25 Parmenter Street for their Friday film series featuring Hollywood directors and writers before and after the blacklist. This week’s film is A Place in the Sun, see additional details here.

10:30AM I Piccoli Lettori – Italian reading group for little ones. Join I AM Books for its Italian reading group for little ones! Children (0-4) and their parents will engage in multiple readings and games for a fun morning of Italian language and learning.

1:00PM “A History of Boston in 50 Artifacts” Book Signing at the Paul Revere House. Boston’s own City Archaeologist, Joe Bagley will sign copies of his fascinating book and chat with visitors about what stories lie underneath our feet! See some of the actual objects highlighted in the book in person and learn more about them and the archaeological process from an expert in the field.

6:00PM IAWA Literary Reading and Open Mic. Stop by I AM Books at 189 North Street to hear a night of translations and original poetry from Laura Klinkon and Michael Palma.

7:00PM Casino Night at Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Join Faneuil Hall Marketplace for a night of casino games for fun prizes. There will also be a DJ and cash bar. Admission is $20 per person and includes casino chips for playing which can then be exchanged for prizes at the end of the night. This event is 21+. Proceeds from this event will benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children – Boston.

2:00PM Nazzaro / NEAA Banquet at the Nazzaro Center. BCYF Nazzaro Community Center, North End Athletic Association (NEAA) and the Boston Catholic Athletics, (previously known as CYO) director John Pregmon will be collaborating this year to bring you the. Please register in person at the Nazzaro Center by March 23rd at 5 p.m. – payment due at the time of registration. annual banquet.
