Police Blotter: Vehicle Break In, Garage Fare Evasion

Larceny from Motor Vehicle

10/06/16  ~  9:45pm -10:00pm
Victim reports that he parked his 2010 Mercedes-Benz on Hanover Street and when he returned to his vehicle a short time later his backpack was missing. There was no sign of forced entry into the motor vehicle, the backpack contained an iPad and a laptop computer.

Evading Fare

10/10/16  ~  9:01am
The Commercial Street garage reports that a male suspect failed to pay his garage fee.  The male operator of a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer stated he lost his parking stub and was told by the attendant he had to pay the overnight charge. At this time the suspect drove out behind another customer without paying. The vehicle information was passed onto the responding officer for a follow up.

  1. Auto break ins shouldn’t be considered a crime anyone. Really just owner negligence. Beating a parking fare isn’t worth calling the police unless you have a license plate number.
