Engagement Congratulations to Maria Puopolo & Aaron Michlewitz

Congratulations to the North End’s own State Representative Aaron Michlewitz and his beautiful fiancée, Maria Puopolo, on their recent engagement. During a visit to New York City, Aaron popped the question in scenic Bryant Park and she said yes!

Rep. Michlewitz, born and raised in the North End, started representing the neighborhood in the State House as part of the Third Suffolk District after winning a 2009 special election. The popular state representative has not been opposed since.

Maria is also a State House alumnus, having previously worked as an aide to former Senator Petruccelli before joining the private sector. She is also an active member of North End Against Drugs, among other community activities. The couple plans to reside in Boston’s North End.
