Action for Boston Community Development, Inc. (ABCD) will host a 4th of July celebration on Friday, July 1st at 12:30PM, at Copp’s Hill Terrace (Slide Park) in the North End. The weather prediction is a comfortable 79 degrees under partly cloudy skies, but in the event of rain, we will move the party indoors to our drop-in center at the ABCD North End/West End Neighborhood Service Center (NE/WE NSC). Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) is an anti-poverty and community development organization founded in 1961 as Boston Community Development Program (BCDP) in Boston, Massachusetts and incorporated as Action for Boston Community Development in 1962, serving as a prototype for urban “human renewal” agencies.
