Lighting of the Lanterns at Old North Church for Patriot’s Day [Video]

The Lighting of the Lanterns capped off the 241st Lantern Ceremony on Sunday night recalling the events of April 18, 1775.

This year, National Park Service Rangers carried the lanterns up to the famous steeple over Boston’s North End. Representing the NPS Rangers were Sentidra Joseph, Andrew Savage and Shawn Quigley.

The ceremony was narrated by Old North Church Vicar Stephen T. Ayres accompanied by Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker and music by the Old North Chamber Choir.
