5:00pm Boston Harbor Now! Auction Gala at Boston Harbor Hotel, Rowes Wharf
Helping to raise funds to continue the great work of the newly merged Boston Harbor Now!, the annual Boston Harbor Celebration and Auction has long been a popular and much enjoyed networking event for many of Boston’s leaders. The evening’s activities include delicious dinner and drinks, silent auction, mystery boxes and much more, register here.

4:00pm Boston Pretzel Giveaway at Faneuil Hall
Boston Pretzel is celebrating the 2016 National Pretzel Day on Tuesday April 26, with a special pretzel “Happy Hour” giveaway of 500 free mini salted pretzels while supplies last. From 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., stop by Boston Pretzel at the Food Colonnade at Quincy Market at Faneuil Hall Marketplace to take part in the special pretzel celebration and get your free pretzel. In addition, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. the celebration continues with the signature “Boston” pretzel on sale for half-price.

6:00pm Haymarket Lecture/Reception at Old South Meeting House
Boston’s Market District and Haymarket: Yesterday and Today, co-Sponsored by Historic New England. Boston’s Market District came into its own with Faneuil Hall in 1742, followed by Quincy Market in 1826. Today’s Haymarket began as an expansion of Quincy Market in the 1830s, and has since witnessed enormous changes in streetscape and demographics. Through it all, the district has served a constant stream of longtime residents, immigrant families, students and tourists. this event is free and open to the public, pre-registration requested.

7:00pm Taste of the North End at Steriti Skating Rink, Commercial Street
This year, the Taste of the North End will benefit the North End Waterfront Health, continuing the tradition of the North End restaurant community supporting North End charities. Proceeds will support the variety of programs and services offered by the health center, as well as other neighborhood charities for children and elders. View the event site and order tickets.

5:00pm Alma Antigua – Allegro Concert Series [I AM Books, 189 North Street]
Alma Antigua: Cassan/Muratore/Pignataro is a trio exploring original music and arranged existing compositions from the Mediterranean regions and Latin America in a chamber jazz context, while maintaining the connection to its folkloric roots. The combination of soulful and haunting melodies with modes and resonances from these geographical areas creates a very original springboard for improvisation, moving musical dialogs and creative interpretations.
