The Weekender: Complete Juno Coverage, Close Call for the Waterfront, Sidewalk Toilet, CityFeast Celebrates 10 Years

With the winter weather that roared through here this past week, it would be easy to recap on all the media surrounding the multiple feet of snow that are still conquering most of the North End sidewalks. This compilation of photos was put together by several local residents who trekked out into the wintry tundra to capture the rare sights that come with a storm of this magnitude. As the photos came in throughout the storm, we had them posted for neighbors to see, view photos.

Another Close Call as Blizzard Juno’s Storm Surge Peaks at Low Tide

The North End and especially the waterfront ducked another haymaker with winter storm Juno. This marks the fifth consecutive time a severe storm has hit when the Harbor was in low-tide. If Juno had hit during high tide, it would have been a “100-year” flood event for Boston’s waterfront, according to the Boston Harbor Association. Read the article
