St. John School Students Celebrate First Thanksgiving with Luncheon

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERALast week our 1st and 2nd Grade students at St. John School celebrated Thanksgiving enjoying a delicious traditional feast after having learned about the holiday and its traditions.

Our teachers, parents and even some grandparents, helped serve a traditional Thanksgiving lunch of turkey, potatoes, vegetables, stuffing, corn bread, cranberry sauce, and of course, apple pie, to the students and then joined them for the feast.

As Father Claude told our students at the Thanksgiving Liturgy, “Have a thankful heart [not a greedy heart]” and our hearts are very thankful to the Golden Goose Markets for donating and cooking all of the turkeys and the fixings for our most delicious luncheon! Thank you.
