Santa Lucia Honored at 93rd St. Lucy’s Feast in Boston’s North End [Photos]

Santa Lucia, St. Lucy, Vergine e’ Martire – Protectress of Eyesight, was honored in a Labor Day feast in Boston’s North End. The 93rd St. Lucy’s Feast followed the weekend St. Anthony’s Feast with a procession by society members through the neighborhood streets with the North End Marching Band, flower girls and color guard. At the end of the night, a charity raffle was pulled before the final solemn procession back to the chapel.

Enjoy paging through the photo gallery from the day and evening celebration.  (Photos by Matt Conti.) See more coverage of all the North End Feasts.

  1. Matt, thank you and your associates for the great feast photos all season long but especially the Saint Anthony and Saint Lucy feasts. These photos record the vibrant life and traditions in our neighborhood.
