North End Youths Earn Boston College High School Honors

boston college high school bchs logoNicholas A. Benning ’15 of the North End achieved High Honors for the Third Quarter at Boston College High School. For High Honors a student must have at least a 3.80 quality point average and all grades ‘”C+” or higher.

Benjamin S. Murphy ’15 and Michael Laposata ‘16 achieved Honors. For Honors a student. must have at least a 3.20 quality point average and all grades ‘”C-” or higher.

Boston College High School is a Jesuit, Catholic, college-preparatory school for young men founded in 1863. The school enrolls approximately 1600 students from more than 100 communities in eastern Massachusetts.

  1. C+ for High honors’? C- for ‘Honors’?

    I am sure these boys are very smart, hard workers, and did better than most but the bar seems awfully low.

    1. Please read posts carefully before making judgmental comments.

      To be clear: to get High Honors a student must have a GPA of 3.8 (which is an A/A- average) AND must not have gotten any one grade below a C+.
