Stefano Marchese, co-director of the St. Leonard Choral Society, has released his debut album, “Radici.” A native of Pescara, the 29-year-old Berklee alum’s album includes six original tracks that fuse Mediterranean jazz melodies with American harmonies. “It’s an album that represents my experience as an immigrant,” says Marchese, who moved from Italy to the United States with his wife Milena in 2010, after winning a Berklee College of Music scholarship at Umbria Jazz Festival. The album is available in digital form on iTunes and Amazon.
