The proposed Starbucks at the corner of Hanover and Cross Streets has been strongly opposed by many North End residents and businesses. The sun came out for the Friends of the North End Branch Library on Saturday for the Annual Book Sale fundraiser. Book and DVD donations came from far and wide, offering the public a huge selection on the Parmenter St. sidewalk. Proceeds go to the Friends group that help support the programs at the library.
