Bill Spadafora, of the Italian American Sports Hall of Fame, will give a presentation regarding the Tony DeMarco statue that will be installed in the greenery bed in front of Mother Anna’s at the intersection of Hanover and Cross Streets.
Discussion

Discussion regarding NEWRA’s policy not to support a request for a new alcohol license or license transfer that increases the number of licenses to more than 91 licenses in the neighborhood. NEWRA’s vote of support for a new Malt and Wine license (65 Salem Street) in September brings the total number of existing or NEWRA- supported pouring licenses to the cap in NEWRA’s Policy on Alcohol Licenses.

The Nominating Committee recommends the following members for election as officers of NEWRA for the 2012-2013 term:
President: Jim Salini, Charter Street
Treasurer: Michael Giardiello, Prince Street (for a second consecutive term)
Nominations will also be accepted from the floor for these offices and the offices of Vice President, Sergeant of Arms and Secretary. All NEWRA members are encouraged to consider supporting the association by volunteering to be an officer for one year.
Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the Annual Meeting to celebrate another year of accomplishment for the North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association.
