Over 200 people attended the 2nd Annual Pilates in the Park on Saturday, September 8th in the Rose Kennedy Greenway in front of the North End. Hosted by Jennifer Phelan Pilates and sponsored by ZICO Coconut Water this free community class highlighted Phelan’s award- winning Pilates Fusion workout.
The beats of DJ Kupah James could be heard throughout the North End and onlookers filled the sidewalks watching students follow Phelan’s energetic cues.
“It was the highlight of my teaching career. Seeing the Greenway packed with people all working out for a great cause was incredible,” said Phelan.
In conjunction with this class, Phelan sold $1 raffle tickets and raised over $800 to benefit The MAGIC Foundation. The MAGIC foundation for children’s growth is an American non-profit organization which helps families of children diagnosed with a wide variety of different growth impacting medical conditions through education, networking, physician referrals and numerous other services.
