What’s Going On:
Grab an umbrella! It would be a shame if it rained all weekend because there are several outdoor events on the calendar, including a cleanup by the new Friends of the North End Parks on Saturday at 9am and Old North’s Blessing of the Animals on Sunday at 3pm. See the Events Calendar for all the details. Please check with organizers for last minute changes.
What’s new on the blog:
The latest shots have been fired in the “Doc’s Long Wharf” case. This time, the city and state authorities weigh in with their own reply briefs that would support a restaurant alcohol license against the case presented by the “North End Ten” that argues for constitutional protection of the open space as a park. We present excerpts from the BRA and DEP filings.
