The NEAA 19u Dodger’s team riding a 6 game winning streak thrusted themselves into first place in the Lou Tompkins All-Star baseball league. The Dodgers have been red-hot for the last 3 weeks and playing their best baseball of the season. Led by their rock solid pitching staff and suddenly explosive offensive the Dodgers have won their last six games by a combined score of 51-14. During the winning streak Mike Martignetti has picked up 3 wins while allowing 1 earned run in his last 12 innings pitched. Greg Bilikas has thrown two consecutive complete games and Vin Lopriore has been dominant closing out games and picked up a win. The Dodgers offense is averaging more than 8 runs per game during the streak getting solid contributions up and down the batting order. Bob Mello continues to lead the team with a .424 batting average and a .548 on- base pct. Mike Martignetti leads the team with 18 rbi while batting .359 with an on-base pct of .537. Ryan Carvalho leads the team in runs scored with 19 to go with his .348 batting ave and .483 on-base pct. The Dodgers are also getting consistent contributions from the Iudiciani brothers and PK Baez. The Dodgers end their regular season Sunday July 29th and kick off the playoffs August 1st.
