Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers entertained an enthusiastic impromptu audience in the courtyard at the Paul Revere House with their recent hit song, “Me and Paul Revere” on Memorial Day, May 28, 2012. In town to play with the Boston Pops at Symphony Hall, Martin decided to make a brief stop at the historic site in the North End that fit so well with his song.
After reading a book about how the “Midnight Ride of Paul Revere” story had become embellished over time, Steve Martin wrote “Me and Paul Revere” to represent the true story of what happened that night … from the point of view of Paul Revere’s horse!
Thanks to host and Executive Director, Nina Zannieri, and all the folks at the Paul Revere House for welcoming the local community to the event.
Your posts and videos keep getting better, Matt.
How cool is that! What fun,
Very cool.
Memories?
For sure. I spent a lot of time in that court yard!
