McDEVITT, Patrick D. “Dan” Of the North End of Boston formerly of South Medford, and more recently a warmly, kindly cared for resident patient in the Chelsea Soldiers’ Home, born to eternal life on April 7, 2012. Dear husband of Joyce Francis McDevitt, cherished father of Stephen F. of Medford and Kathryn B. of the North End, Boston. Son of the late Daniel and Helen (McDaid) McDevitt. Brother of James J. “Jack” of Medford, Mary F. “Maureen” of Beverly, Michael J. of North Andover, Kevin B. of Medford and the late Helen. Also survived by his niece, nephews, and many cousins in America and Ireland for whom he had special affection. Alumnus of St. Clement Grammar and High School, and of Boston College, Class of 1956. Late, proud member of the Saint Mark Society, Boston Central Branch YMCA, Irish Cultural Centre, and Winchester Country Club. U.S. Naval Reserve Veteran. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 12 North Sq., Boston, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
