All 33 Democratic and 5 Republican Ward 3 committee candidates that ran were elected and their vote totals are shown below. The ticket for the Ward 3 Democratic Committee was topped by Daniel J. Toscano with 374 votes. The Ward 3 Republican Committee ticket was topped by Kaityln E. Greeley with 385 votes.
Brad Marston and Eva Burbank Murphy were elected Republican State Committeeman and Committeewoman, respectively, for the 1st Suffolk & Middlesex District. Valentino Capobianco and Denise LoConte were elected as Democratic State Committeeman and Committeewoman, respectively, also for the 1st Suffolk & Middlesex District.
Presidential preference in the primary by City of Boston voters was shown for Mitt Romney with 69% of the vote on the Republican side, followed by Ron Paul with 13% and Rick Santorum at 11%. Uncontested Barak Obama counted 89% of the vote for the Democrats.
Citywide turnout was low with only 7.8% of registered voters visiting the polls.
