Successful Booksigning for “Wheelchairs Can Jump!” Held at Caffe Paradiso

Family, friends, fans, and well-wishers gathered at Caffé Paradiso on Saturday, December 24th to celebrate the publication and release of author Armand “Tip” Thiboutot’s new book, Wheelchairs Can Jump! A History of Wheelchair Basketball (Acanthus Publishing 2011).

Thiboutot, along with co-author Stan Labanowich (now deceased), then turned his talents to crafting the definitive history of wheelchair basketball, aiming to fill a long-standing void for people who have only a superficial knowledge of the existence of elite wheelchair basketball performance and its importance in the lives of its participants. Wheelchairs Can Jump! brings to life the sport’s rich 65-year history as played out in the two most prestigious competitions organized for its athletes—the quadrennial Paralympic Games and Gold Cup World Championships. Copies can be purchased at WheelchairsCanJump.com.
