The Society of Santa Rosalia Di Palermo held its annual procession through Boston’s North End streets on Sunday, September 11, 2011. Starting at Sacred Heart Church in North Square the statue visited Christopher Columbus Park, the other religious societies, Pizzeria Regina and all the usual stops for folks to add their ribbons of dollars. The procession for Santa Rosalia is the last of the feast and festival season. Read the story of Santa Rosalia.
In honor of the 10th anniversary of 9/11, the society made a special stop to present a plaque to the North End Fire House on Hanover Street in honor of their community service.
