ParkArts Landscape Watercolor Series Returns in June to Christopher Columbus Park

The Boston Parks and Recreation Department will be holding its popular series of ParkARTS Landscape Watercolor Painting Workshops, presented in partnership with official sponsor and art supplier Blick Art Materials, during the month of June at two Boston locations.

The series of eight workshops for budding artists ages nine and up is just one of the many offerings of the 15th annual ParkARTS program sponsored by Bank of America.  These hands-on watercolor painting workshops enable participants to create their own greenspace-inspired masterpieces.  The Parks Department is pleased to welcome Blick Art Materials back as the official sponsor of the Landscape Watercolor Painting Workshops.

Local art instructors welcome artists of all skill levels to join them and capture Boston’s historic parks in bloom. The free workshops include instruction, all materials, and discount coupons provided by Blick Art Materials.     In addition, all participants can enter to win a prize package from Blick Art Materials.  Since 1911, artists have turned to Blick Art Materials which remains the premier art supply source for professional artists, students and teachers, and continues to be a family-owned business providing customers with quality pricing, selection, and service.

All classes are held from 12 noon to 2 p.m. weather permitting. Dates and locations are as follows:

Saturdays, June 4, 11, 18, and 25
The Public Garden, Boston

Sundays, June 5, 12, 19, and 26
Christopher Columbus Park, Atlantic Avenue, North End
