  1. Cafe Lil Italy JUST RECENTLY SOLD ITS BEER & WINE LICENSE, I am sure for a nice chunka change. NOW THEY WANT A NICE NEW CHEAP ONE FROM HE CITY. THIS IS GETTING TO BE A JOKE. WAKE UP NORTH END PEOPLE. PUT A STOP TO THIS BLATANT ABUSE BY BUSINESS OWNERS. WE DO NOT NEED ANYMORE POURING LICENSES, CAFES, RESTAURANTS, BUSINESSES LIKE PRINCE POSTALE AND NAPOLI PASTRY MORPHING INTO RESTAURANTS. ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. @CONFUSED: It is a different owner than the one that sold the old license. It was a cafe before and it will be that again. Sorry, no conspiracy here.

  3. I still don't see the problem. It was a cafe before, and it will be again. You know when the meeting is, go ahead and make your case.

  4. @No Caps Lock. Why not identify yourself so we can see who is being so positive this is a slam dunk and we can all go to the meeting and make our cases. There was a license there and they sold the license to Cafe Nuovo. The new owner is related to the previous owner. Now they want a new license? Not a slam dunk. I'm not just talking about the neighborhood groups which are strictly advisory. Its up to the Boston Licensing board and the State alcohol control board or whatever the proper name of the State agency.
There used to be several brothels in the North End. Using your argument,, if someone wanted to open a brothel in the North End, the residents shouldn't object because there were brothels here and should be again.
