The new Legal Harborside opened its first floor last week at Liberty Wharf, the latest extension of Legal Sea Foods by Roger Berkowitz. When complete, the new Legal will be the largest restaurant in Boston at 20,000 square feet and three levels. There is casual and bar dining on the first floor, including an actual fishing pond. An upscale restaurant is planned for the second floor and the top deck will have a retractable roof and outdoor fireplace, featuring an oyster bar.
Legal follows Jerry Remy’s and Temazcal Tequila Cantina openings on Liberty Wharf in the South Boston Waterfront (or Seaport District or Innovation District or whatever we’re calling it these days!). Expected to follow is Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House and a unknown fifth restaurant.
