In addition to Boston’s celebrations for St. Patrick’s Day and Evacuation Day, many in the North End are recognizing March 17, 2011 for the 150th Anniversary of the Unification of Italy.
U.S. President Barak Obama has made an official proclamation to celebrate the anniversary.
The Consul General of Italy in Boston, Giuseppe Pastorelli, will mark the occasion with State and City officials on the steps of the Massachusetts State House on Friday, March 18 at 11:30 a.m. The public is welcome to attend.
