North End Against Drugs sponsored a free family dinner at the Nazzaro Community Center on February 7, 2011. Below are photos from the event. (Click on images to enlarge.)

There was pasta, meatballs, sausages, eggplant, salad and bread and butter along with cookies. NEAD President John Romano hosted the event and the dinner was prepared by Mary and Frank Romano. The planned speaker, Jeff Mullan, Secretary of Transportation, had to cancel due to a work obligation. Standing in with some comments were Boston Police Captain, Bernard O’Rourke, and Eliot School Principal, Traci Griffith. Funds for the dinner were  donated by Joe Bono and Family, Al Dente Restaurant, Boston Pushcarts and Benevento’s. It was also supported by NSTAR Electric Company, NEAD’s Corporate Sponsor. Special thanks to Carl Ameno and the Nazzaro Community Center.
