North End resident, enchanteboston, trys the brunch at the recently opened Caffe Nuovo on 76 Salem Street and writes an enthusiastic review.
“Naturally I ordered a bloody mary to compliment my favorite brunch accessory – Chanel sunglasses. Sunglasses are a necessary brunch accessory for girls who value preserving a well put together image by masking last night’s smudged makeup. The drink presentation was stellar with fresh olives, celery, orange slices and a green pepper as edible accoutrements, finished with a peppered rim. My first sip confirmed my visual hypothesis that this just may be the best bloody mary in Boston. When the server came over to ask how the drinks were, I declared that it was definitely the best bloody mary in Boston. She explained that the tomato juice is hand squeezed on the premises from real tomatoes and mixed with other homemade ingredients.”
I dig the sunglasses, but I'm REALLY impressed by the hand squeezed tomato juice. Wow- No one does that- not even me! I think the bar just got raised!
