Wednesday night, December 1st was very rainy, but 35-40 people showed up at the library for the concert by Kathy St. George and accompanist Jim Rice. Ms. St. George sang showtunes, a medley from a show she s done many times, Menopause the Musical and songs associated with Judy Garland. In a hilarious routine, she performed a 10-minute version of The Wizard of Oz. The crowd was most appreciative of her performance. Later, many of us, including the performers, got together in the piano lounge of Fiore for the after-party. There, over appetizers and drinks, we talked and enjoyed the background music of Jon Jarvis. Many have expressed the desire to have Kathy return for another concert next year.
