Boston Restaurant Talk has the scoop (literally) on the food vendors that will be showing up on the Rose Kennedy Greenway next Monday, June 14th. Two North End businesses will be part of the pilot program that includes six mobile food stations scattered through the parks.
Joe Bono’s Boston Pushcart will be set up in the North End Parks, near the Freedom Trail, with hot dogs, Italian sausage, and fresh-squeezed lemonade. Bono also operates Al Dente and the new Benevento’s on Salem Street. Boston Pushcart also has locations in Christopher Columbus Park, the Aquarium and elsewhere in downtown Boston.
Next to the Carousel on Parcel 14 will be Going Bananas with smoothies and Italian ices.
See the other vendor selections at Boston Restaurant Talk’s blog post.
At a recent meeting, the Greenway Conservancy said they received more than 25 responses to their request for proposal. Pendng the results of this year’s pilot, the program could be expanded in 2011.

While I am happy that two North End businesses will be participating in the program, I am really happy that a Belmont business Silk Road BBQ will be operating near Rowes Wharf! http://www.silkroadbbq.com/menu.html
Oops! Not a Belmont business but the link is correct.
