  1. Thank you Friends and Neighbors for your support at the Friends of the NE Branch Library Book Sale this weekend. The weather was perfect and we sold lots and lots of books. Thanks to all of you who offered your support – helping to set up, helping to tear down, and working during the sale. Thanks to those of you who donated your gently used books, DVDs, and CDs. Thanks to those of you who purchased some "new to you" items. Thanks to those of you who just came by to make a donation (especially the young man with the big heart who donated anonymously and generously). Next week is an important City Council meeting where the whole issue of keeping the BPL Branch libraries open will be discussed. The timing of such a success here in the North End will not go unnoticed. Thank you all – The Friends of the North End Branch Library.
