North End Friends of St. Francis House Looking for Donations for Flea Market

The North End Friends of St. Francis House will be having the 6th Annual Bake Sale and Flea Market on Friday March 19 from 8am to 6pm and Saturday March 20th from 10pm to 2pm.

As many of you have in the past, we need donations of great household type items so we can sell them in our flea market.  All proceeds go to the St.Francis House Homeless Shelter on Boylston St in Boston.  Last year we raised just over $8000.00 and we have an anonymous donor who matches all we make.

We will accept toys, books, small house hold appliances, knick-knacks, cotume jewelry, games, CD’s, DVD’s, small pieces of furniture like bookshelves, lamps, stereo’s, coffee tables.  Everything must be clean and in good working order – NO CLOTHES.

We will start collecting things the week of March 15th and you can drop stuff off starting that Monday at the Nazzaro Center.  However – now is the time to start looking through your apartment, condo, storage unit etc and getting stuff together for us.

The North End Friends of St. Francis House is made up of the Romano, Scimeca and Carangelo Families!
Please note on Friday & Sat we will have Mama Romano’s world famous Eggplant sandwiches, meatball sandwiches and Sausage sandwiches for sale.

Lastly we will also be collecting Spare Change that day as well, no donation is too small or too big!  If you are not around and want to donate – you can mail a check made out to St. Francis House and send it to me at:  John Romano 247 Burlington Ave, Wilmington Mass. 01887.

Feel free to contact me with any questions at patjr@comcast.net.

  1. If you don’t want any flea market items, stop by just for Mary Romano’s sandwiches. They are yummy ( the eggplant is the best but the meatballs or sausage are also really good) and cheap ($3.50). Bet you won’t be able to resist grabbing a sweet treat from the bake sale on the way out.
