Francisco M. Vilar VILAR Francisco M. “Franky” “Pacito” Vilar, age 52, of Boston’s North End, died suddenly on February 8, 2010. He will be deeply missed by his family and is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Al and Angela “Mudge” Vilar; loving nieces and nephews, Guarino and Isabella Vilar, Jase Cherchi, Ronald, Gia, Joseph, and Renee Guarino; cherished grandnieces, Gia and Ciana Spagnuolo; his sister-in-law’s sister, Lisa Guarino; dear friends, Angela “The Red Head” Guarino D’Elia, Ralph “Hawk” D’Elia, Sal Cherchi, Joseph and Michele Guarino, Chris Steriti, and Stephanie Guarino all of Boston’s North End.
Funeral services will be held from the Boston Harborside Home of J.S. Waterman-Langone, 580 Commercial St, Boston on Tuesday, February 16th at 9 AM followed by a 10 AM funeral mass at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 401 Hanover St, Boston. Visiting hours will be on Monday from 4-8 PM.
An active Facebook page, Friends of Frankie Vilar, was created after the car accident while he was at Boston Medical Center. Friends have been sharing memories and condolences to Al, Mudge & family. State Representative Aaron Michlewitz said, “As kind of a man as you will ever meet and my memories of Frankie will forever be in my heart.” The family said they will post arrangements when available.
