Coro-Dante Looking for Singers

CoroDanteHornLogoCoro-Dante is New England’s all Italian repertoire four-part chorus. The chorus’ purpose is to promote Italian language and culture through singing Italian music.

Rehearsals for their Spring concerts are starting on Monday, January 25 at 7pm. Individuals are invited to join. Rehearsals take place each Monday evening at the Dante Alighieri Society, 41 Hamphire Street, Kendall Square, Cambridge.

CHORUS SIZE & REPERTOIRE: The chorus will be comprised of about 50-60 singers SATB (soprano, alto, tenor, bass), and will perform a wide variety of musical styles old and new, but always in Italian.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: You need not speak Italian or have extensive musical experience. Ability to sing in tune is highly desired. Ability to read music is not required but preferable. A weekly commitment of an hour and half on Mondays for rehearsing would give you a chance to meet with friends, make new ones and perhaps expand your musical and linguistic skills!

PERFORMANCES: The chorus performs during Italian Heritage Month in October and in Christmas and spring concerts for a total of three concerts a year.
