Last night was the Annual Summer Party for the North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA). The big occasion was held at the Pilot House which was packed with residents spilling out onto the harborside patio on a steamy night. With great food, desserts and a staffed bar, fun was had by all. NEWRA’s summer party seems to grow every year and this year was the largest ever with many of our elected officials and the local police in attendance.
President Mark Paul has presided over a very active year for the organization and thanked all the officers and members for helping NEWRA deal with an increasing amount of neighborhood issues. Past President, Victor Brogna, was also surprised when a cake was brought out to celebrate his 74th birthday.
