Car Falls Through Construction Plates on Prince Street

You know how sturdy those steel plates seem when they are used at construction road sites? Well, sometimes things go wrong.

On Thursday night, a delivery car fell right through the temporary construction plates into a hole at the center of Prince Street in Boston’s North End. The plates were covering work on a water main line, near the intersection of Snowhill Street.

Justin Amoroso shares these photos as he was the next in line and counts his blessings his car didn’t get stuck.
