Bank Robbery on Hanover Street; Police Blotter Highlights N. Margin Street Breaking & Entering

Bank Robbery: The Santander Bank (formerly Sovereign) at 287 Hanover Street was held up on Thursday morning. According to Universal Hub, the robber (male, 6’2″ with black hair) gave the teller a note demanding money wearing a gray hoodie and a Red Sox cap with a large, off-center B.

Male suspect arrested for breaking & entering at a residence on N. Margin Street. The suspect was also charged with being in possession of burglarious tools, willful and malicious destruction of property and being in possession of Cl B and Cl C drugs.

  1. There’s usually a security guard in that bank and there’s construction guys working there as well. Gutsy move.

    1. Renovation, and yes, the front of the bank is all boarded up…just a narrow entrance to inside. The robber took advantage of these unusual conditions, and knew very well that what happened inside would not be easily seen from outside. Yes, there is usually a security guard, and the tellers are great people.
