Trash in Downtown Boston Picked Up by 8 PM on Friday Or Take It In Until Next Week

With the city on lockdown, Public Works was delayed in Friday’s trash collection and there are reports of several streets not being picked up. According to Public Works, Downtown Boston, including the North End, was picked up by 8:00 pm Friday, along with Boston Proper, Roxbury, Charlestown & South Boston. Trash and recyclables that are not picked up should be held inside until next week.

Details from Public Works:

For collections scheduled Friday 4/19: Pickup in Beacon Hill, Bay Village, Chinatown, Leather District, South End and North End will be completed by 8PM Friday 4/19. For collections scheduled for Allston-Brighton, Dorchester, Mission Hill, East Boston, Hyde Park, Jamaica Plain, Mattapan, West Roxbury, and Roslindale, you may place out for pickup by 6AM Saturday 4/20 or hold items until your next scheduled collection day.
