In the true spirit of the season, volunteers took time to help others by holding a Christmas Bazaar to benefit those with Cystic Fibrosis. The event was held on Saturday, December 1st at the Nazzaro Community Center. There was a bake sale, raffles, toys, books, crafts and artwork for sale. Also, ornaments and crafts made by the Nazzaro kids were featured.
Earlier in the week, Elena D’Elia, 5 years old, raised an additional $160 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation by running a “toy store” at the Nazzaro Center.

I was moved to see that there was a fund raising event for CF in the north end. We are new to the area and have a child with CF. I only wish i knew about the event in advance.
I thank you for your efforts and keep up the good work
I know it’s easy to miss things with so much going on and I am open to suggestions. Generally, I post the flyer a week before:

And then put a reminder in the “News & Views” post the day before the event. The Nazzaro also had signs and their own promotion of the event.
When I hear about an event like this, I put it first on the calendar here:

which is also embedded and linked on the front page. Use the Events menu above to access the various flyers too. If you’re not on the newsletter list, then you can sign up here:
