The North End Historical Society is pleased to host Essdras Suarez, Pulitzer Prize-Winning Photojournalist and former Boston Globe Photographer, for two Street-Photography Workshops in Boston’s historic North End on Saturday, June 3rd, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Through these 3-hour tutorials, Mr. Suarez will work with photographers of all abilities to document the North End’s colorful urban landscape and capture its vibrant people. The goal of the workshops is to help photographers see better when it matters the most – when things are happening right in front of you. Mr. Suarez will discuss composition, quality of light, layering, points of entry, natural framing, points of escape and decisive moments. In addition, photographers will learn how to photograph people in public places in a non-invasive yet effective way. No special camera is necessary.
